Bəzi fellərlə də eyni formadan istifadə olunur (verb somebody to ...):

İnkar forması:

make and let

Make və let fellərindən sonra to hissəciyi işlənmir :

• He's very funny. He makes me laugh. ('makes me to laugh' - yox)
• At school our teacher made us work very hard.
• Sue let me use her computer because mine wasn't working ('let me to use' - yox)

İnsanların səninlə nə isə etməyini istədiklə Let's ... (= Let us) ifadəsindən istifadə edə bilərsən:

• Come on! Let's dance.
• 'Shall we go out tonight?'    'No, I'm tired. Let's stay at home.'

Aşağıdakı misala baxaq:

wait for ... (kimisə, nəyisə gözləmək)

wait to (do something): (nəyisə etmək üçün gözləmək)

• Hurry up! I'm waiting to go.
• Are you waiting to see the doctor?

wait for (somebody/something) to ... : (kimdənsə nəsə etməyi gözləmək = expect)

• I can't go out yet. I'm waiting for John to phone.
